The two sisters, Leah and Simone, were very close growing up in Jamaica. However, as they got older, Leah decided to leave Jamaica in search of a better life in the United States, while Simone stayed behind to take care of their aging mother.
Over the years, Leah worked hard and built a successful career as a nurse, eventually settling down and starting a family of her own. Meanwhile, Simone struggled to make ends meet in Jamaica and eventually became addicted to drugs.
When Simone's addiction worsened, their mother reached out to Leah for help. Reluctantly, Leah agreed to come back to Jamaica and try to get Simone the help she needed. However, when Leah arrived, she was shocked to see how much Simone had changed and how much their relationship had deteriorated.
Despite their differences, Leah and Simone eventually began to bond again as they worked together to overcome Simone's addiction. Along the way, Leah also helped Simone get back on her feet and find a new job.
The movie concludes with Leah and Simone reconciling and expressing their love for one another, despite the years that had passed. While their lives may have taken different paths, their bond as sisters remained strong.
