The three childhood friends in Black Rock are Sarah, Abby, and Lou. Sarah and Abby had a falling out years ago and have not spoken since. However, Lou, who is still close with both of them, convinces them to go on a camping trip to a remote island off the coast of Maine, where they used to play as kids.
Things seem to be going well until they run into three local fishermen on the island. The fishermen, who have been drinking heavily, start making inappropriate comments and advances towards the women. Sarah, who is still angry about her past with Abby, decides to go back to the campsite alone, leaving Abby and Lou with the fishermen.
Unfortunately, things quickly escalate and the women find themselves fighting for their lives as the men chase them through the woods with guns. The women are forced to use their wits and survival skills to outsmart their attackers and make it out alive.
Black Rock is a tense and gripping thriller that explores the dynamics of female friendship and the lengths we will go to protect ourselves and those we care about. It stars Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell, and Katie Aselton, who also directed the film.
