Black Moon Rising is a 1986 action thriller film directed by Harley Cokeliss and written by John Carpenter. The film stars Tommy Lee Jones, Linda Hamilton, Robert Vaughn, and Richard Jaeckel.
The plot revolves around a government free-lance spy named Quint (played by Tommy Lee Jones), who is hired by a top-secret agency to steal a computer disk from a high-security building. The disk contains incriminating evidence about an organized crime syndicate known as the "The Brotherhood".
After successfully acquiring the disk, Quint stashes it in the trunk of a black prototype car called the "Black Moon". The car is then stolen by a group of car thieves and ends up in the possession of an auto mechanic named Nina (played by Linda Hamilton).
As Nina drives the car around Los Angeles, she discovers the disk hidden in the trunk and becomes the target of both the FBI and "The Brotherhood", who will stop at nothing to recover the incriminating evidence.
With the help of a group of street racers, Nina and Quint team up to outsmart their pursuers and prevent the disk from falling into the wrong hands.
Black Moon Rising features high-octane car chases, shootouts, and suspenseful plot twists, making it a classic 80s action film.
