In the movie Bio-Dome, Bud, played by Pauly Shore, and Doyle, played by Stephen Baldwin, are two slacker friends who stumble upon a group of scientists who are preparing to enter an ecological research facility called the Bio-Dome. The facility is a self-contained ecosystem that is meant to mimic Earth's environment in order to study the effects of pollution and other human actions on the planet.
Bud and Doyle accidentally get trapped inside the Bio-Dome with the scientists, and they quickly become a nuisance as they disrupt the experiments and cause chaos. However, as they begin to understand the importance of the research being conducted, and they begin to appreciate and care for the delicate ecosystem inside the dome.
Throughout the movie, Bud and Doyle try to find ways to escape the Bio-Dome, but they always end up back inside, learning more about ecology and the importance of taking care of the environment. Along the way, they find themselves in a series of ridiculous situations, including running a makeshift nightclub and being mistaken for alien invaders.
In the end, Bud and Doyle end up helping the scientists by saving the ecosystem inside the Bio-Dome from being destroyed. They also finally realize the importance of environmental conservation, and they vow to take better care of the planet.
