Bilitis follows the journey of a young girl named Bilitis who is staying with her friend Melissa and her family in a coastal villa during summer vacation. Bilitis, who is just discovering her own sexuality, becomes intrigued by Melissa’s romantic relationship with an older poet named Pierre. She then begins to explore her own desires and sexuality, experimenting with newfound pleasures like skinny-dipping and kissing other girls.
As the summer progresses, Bilitis becomes increasingly involved in Melissa’s world of free-spirited hedonism. She starts to attend parties where sexual experimentation and drug use are prevalent, and begins to develop stronger feelings for Pierre.
However, as Bilitis becomes more entangled in this subculture, she also begins to experience the darker side of these indulgences. She witnesses the dangers of addiction, the pain of broken hearts, and the consequences of reckless behavior.
