Jim Ferguson is a regular guy who works as a catering salesman. He lives a normal life until one day, he is transported through a time hole to 1917 during World War I. There, he stumbles upon a group of British pilots of the Royal Flying Corps, who are engaged in a battle against the Germans.
Jim manages to save the life of the heroic pilot James "Biggles" Bigglesworth, who was shot down during a photo reconnaissance mission. Jim and Biggles become friends and together, they embark on a dangerous mission to gather information about a new German weapon that could turn the tide of the war.
During their journey, Jim learns about the bravery and sacrifice of the pilots who fought in the war. He also falls in love with Marie, a French resistance fighter who is fighting against the Germans.
After successfully completing their mission, Jim is transported back to the present day, where he realizes that his experiences were not just a dream. He decides to write a book about his adventures and becomes a best-selling author.
The movie Biggles is based on the popular series of adventure novels by W.E. Johns. The film was released in 1986 and starred Neil Dickson as Biggles and Alex Hyde-White as Jim Ferguson. The movie was a commercial failure and received mixed reviews, but it has since gained a cult following among fans of the book series.
