Innocence Lost: A Twisted Connection

Comedy  N/A

Big Time Adolescence is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Jason Orley. The film stars Griffin Gluck as Mo, a 16-year-old boy who struggles with social anxiety and has a growth hormone deficiency, making him appear much younger than his age. He looks up to his hero and former babysitter, Zeke (played by Pete Davidson), a college dropout who spends his days hanging out with teenagers and introducing them to drugs and girls.

Mo's mother, played by Jon Cryer, is concerned about her son's friendship with Zeke and constantly urges him to distance himself from him. However, Mo is drawn to Zeke's cool and carefree lifestyle and starts to emulate him. Zeke takes Mo under his wing and introduces him to partying, drinking, and girls. Mo is initially hesitant but eventually gives in to peer pressure.

As Mo becomes more involved with Zeke and his group of friends, he starts to neglect his studies and relationships with those who truly care about him. This leads to conflicts with his family and friends, and Mo begins to question whether he is making the right choices.

Throughout the film, Mo must navigate the murky waters of adolescence and decide what kind of person he wants to be. The movie ultimately explores themes of peer pressure, loyalty, and self-discovery.
