FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) is tasked with protecting a key witness in a high-profile case, but when his teenage son Trent (Brandon T. Jackson) witnesses a murder, they both must go into hiding. To keep Trent safe, Malcolm decides to go undercover as Big Momma, a rotund and boisterous grandmother, and enroll Trent into an all-girls performing arts school where the murder suspect is believed to be hiding.

As Trent struggles to fit in and resist the advances of his female classmates, Malcolm has his own challenges as Big Momma, including playing matchmaker for the school's principal (Faizon Love) and dealing with the suspicious gaze of the cold-hearted school security guard (Emily Rios). As they get closer to the killer's trail, Malcolm and Trent must learn to work together and maintain their cover, all while avoiding the deadly consequences of their mission.

Throughout the film, Malcolm also struggles to connect with his son, who has ambitions of becoming a rapper instead of following in his father's footsteps. However, their shared experience at the performing arts school ultimately strengthens their bond and helps them both grow as individuals.

With a mix of slapstick comedy, action, and heartwarming moments, Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son is a lighthearted romp that showcases Martin Lawrence's talent for physical humor and Brandon T. Jackson's charismatic presence. While it may not be the most groundbreaking film, it's an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon and a fun addition to the Big Momma franchise.
