Big Gold Brick follows the struggles of Samuel Liston, a struggling writer who is desperate to make a name for himself in the literary world. He gets an unexpected break when he is approached by Floyd Deveraux, a mysterious middle-aged man who wants Samuel to write his memoirs.
Samuel is initially excited at the prospect of working with such a fascinating subject, but he soon realizes that Floyd is not at all what he seems. As Samuel gets deeper into Floyd's story, he realizes that there are many secrets and lies buried within Floyd's past, and that the truth may be more elusive than he ever imagined.
As the two men work together to uncover Floyd's story, Samuel must confront his own demons and insecurities, while trying to navigate the complicated and often dangerous world of Floyd Deveraux. Along the way, he is forced to confront uncomfortable truths about himself, about the people around him, and about the nature of storytelling itself.
