The movie Big was directed by Penny Marshall and stars Tom Hanks as Josh Baskin, the young boy who makes the wish to be big. After waking up as a 30-year-old man, Josh tries to find his way back to his normal life. However, he quickly realizes that being an adult is not as glamorous as he thought it would be.
Josh ends up getting a job at a toy company, where his childlike wonder and creativity are appreciated. He also starts dating his coworker, Susan (played by Elizabeth Perkins), but struggles with the fact that he is still mentally a 13-year-old boy.
Throughout the movie, Josh learns important life lessons about responsibility, relationships, and the value of being true to oneself. He eventually realizes that he needs to find a way to become a kid again so that he can get back to his real life.
Big was released in 1988 and was a critical and commercial success. Tom Hanks received an Oscar nomination for his performance, and the movie has since become a beloved classic.
