Beyond the Law is a 2019 drama/action film directed by James Cullen Bressack. The film stars Johnny Messner as Frank Wilson, a former mobster who has left his criminal past behind to start a legitimate business and live a peaceful life. However, when his estranged son is murdered by a ruthless gang, Frank is forced to come out of retirement and seek justice.
Along the way, he teams up with a no-nonsense police detective named Ray Munce (played by Steven Seagal) who is also investigating the same gang. Together, the unlikely allies set out to bring down the vicious gang and its leader and bring justice to Frank's son. However, they soon find themselves facing an unexpected threat in the form of a corrupt ex-cop named Wahl (played by DMX), who is also seeking revenge against the gang for the murder of his own son.
As Frank and Ray navigate the dangerous underworld of crime and corruption, they must also contend with their own personal demons and rivalries. Along with the action-packed fight scenes and car chases, the film also delves into deeper themes such as redemption, forgiveness, and the difficult choices that one must make in order to truly leave their past behind.
