Beyond the Edge is a Russian action-fantasy film released in 2018. The movie was directed by Aleksandr Boguslavskiy and stars Milos Bikovic, Lyubov Aksyonova, and Aleksey Chadov. The plot of the movie revolves around a young talented gambler, Michael (played by Bikovic), who gathers a team of three more people with unique supernatural powers to win big at a casino.
The team comprises of Kira (played by Aksyonova), who has the power of telekinesis, Vasilisa (played by Evgeniya Kregzhde), who can read thoughts, and Andrew (played by Artyom Tkachenko), who can become invisible. The plan seems to be working well for them until they find out that they have a much stronger mystical rival, The One (played by Antonio Banderas).
The One has almost immeasurable supernatural powers and is almost impossible to beat. But Michael and his team are determined to win, to prove they are the best. The story takes sharp turns with twists and unexpected turns as they face off against their rival in an epic finale at the casino.
Beyond the Edge is a superbly made film with amazing action scenes and CGI. It takes the concept of a heist movie and combines it with supernatural powers. With interesting characters and unpredictable plot development, the movie is a highly entertaining watch.
