Beyond the Black Rainbow is a 2010 science fiction/horror film written and directed by Panos Cosmatos. Set in 1983, the film tells the story of Elena, a young woman with psychic abilities who is being held captive in the Arboria Institute by Dr. Barry Nyle, who seeks to use her powers for his own gain.
The film is visually stunning, with a retro-futuristic aesthetic that pays homage to classic sci-fi films of the 1970s and 80s. The score, composed by Sinoia Caves, is also a standout feature of the film, adding to its eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
