The film follows Doug Varney, a small-town pharmacist, who is unsatisfied with his life and stuck in a loveless marriage with his wife Kara. His routine changes when he meets the seductive Elizabeth Roberts, a trophy wife who is unhappy in her marriage and seeking excitement.
