Benjamin is a teenage boy who has been struggling with drug addiction for quite some time. His family decides to stage an intervention to help him overcome his addiction and get his life back on track. However, as the intervention progresses, it becomes evident that the family members who are confronting Benjamin's problem also have their own deep-seated issues to deal with.
His mother, who is a recovering alcoholic, finds herself struggling to cope with the stress of the situation, while his father, who is a workaholic, feels guilty for neglecting his son's emotional needs. Benjamin's sister resents him for the way his addiction has disrupted her life.
As the family comes together to confront Benjamin's drug problem, they also confront their own personal demons. To help Benjamin, they must first help themselves and learn to heal from their own emotional wounds. As they work through their problems together, they discover the power of love and forgiveness and the importance of supporting one another as a family.
