In addition to Levonna and Lamar's struggles with their sexual compatibility, the film also explores the lives of other residents in Smalltown USA. There's a group of women who participate in a topless protest against a local lumber mill, and a man named Ronnie who has a fetish for women's underwear and regularly steals them from the laundromat.
As Lola, Levonna starts an affair with a local radio DJ named Clint who has a cult following and hosts a show called "Rio Dio Radio" where he preaches the virtues of sexual liberation. Meanwhile, Lamar becomes obsessed with a young woman named Lavonia who is the daughter of the town sheriff.
In the end, Lamar has a religious experience at Sister Eufaula Roo's church and renounces his obsession with rear entry. Levonna decides to leave him and embark on a new life of sexual exploration and liberation with Clint. The film ends with the entire town participating in a massive orgy, with even the sheriff getting in on the action.
"Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens" was directed by cult filmmaker Russ Meyer and was released in 1979. It's known for its over-the-top sex scenes, campy humor, and larger-than-life characters. While it received mixed reviews upon its release, it has since become a cult classic among fans of exploitation cinema.
