Beneath the Harvest Sky follows the story of two best friends, Dominic and Casper, who are both on the cusp of adulthood. They live in a small northern Maine town where the fall potato harvest is the biggest event of the year. Dominic dreams of escaping the town and joining the Air Force, while Casper's family is involved in the drug trade.
As the potato harvest approaches, the two friends attempt to earn enough money to fund their separate goals. Dominic takes on odd jobs and tries to save as much money as possible, while Casper becomes more involved in his family's drug trade.
As tensions rise between the two friends, they both face difficult decisions and must navigate the tricky terrain of adolescence and adulthood. Along the way, they encounter a cast of eclectic characters, including a local drug dealer, a pregnant girlfriend, and a young girl struggling with her own demons.
