Beethoven's 3rd is a 2000 family comedy film and the third installment in the Beethoven film series. The movie is directed by David Mickey Evans and stars Judge Reinhold, Julia Sweeney, Joe Pichler, Michaela Gallo, and the voice of Charles Grodin as Beethoven.
The movie begins with the Newton family preparing for their annual road trip in their RV. However, their vacation plans are disrupted when they agree to take care of their neighbor's St. Bernard, Beethoven, while they are away. At first, the Newtons are not thrilled about having Beethoven with them, but they soon realize that he is a lovable and loyal dog.
Along the way, the Newtons encounter two thieves, who are after the valuable necklace that Beth has inherited from her grandmother. When the thieves follow the Newtons to their campsite, Beethoven becomes their unexpected hero, and he saves the day by foiling the thieves' plan and returning the stolen necklace to its rightful owner.
Throughout the movie, Beethoven becomes an integral part of the Newton family and helps them to bond and overcome their differences. The film has wholesome themes of family, friendship, and loyalty and is a perfect choice for a family movie night.
