Bedazzled is a 2000 comedy film directed by Harold Ramis and starring Brendan Fraser as Elliot Richardson and Elizabeth Hurley as Satan. Elliot is a socially inept computer programmer who has a crush on his co-worker Alison (played by Frances O'Connor), but is too shy to ask her out. He encounters Satan, who offers him seven wishes in exchange for his soul.

Elliot's first wish is to be rich and confident. Satan transforms him into a Colombian drug lord, but he is chased by the DEA and killed by his own henchmen. His second wish is to be sensitive and caring, but Satan turns him into a gay writer who is in love with his best friend.

Elliot's third wish is to be famous and talented. Satan turns him into a basketball superstar, but he becomes so arrogant that his team loses the championship. His fourth wish is to be intelligent and successful. Satan turns him into a successful businessman, but he is so busy that he neglects his family and friends.

Elliot's fifth wish is to be Alison's perfect boyfriend. Satan transforms him into a sensitive and caring man, but Alison is now engaged to another man. His sixth wish is to be a rock star. Satan turns him into a successful musician, but he realizes that fame is not everything he thought it would be.

Elliot's final wish is to be himself again, but with Alison's love. Satan grants his wish, and Elliot and Alison fall in love. However, as Satan leaves, she reveals that she tricked him into wasting all his wishes, as he already had everything he wanted inside him all along. Elliot is then hit by a bus and dies, but is seen in heaven with Alison and his friends, happy and content.

The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was a commercial success, grossing over $90 million worldwide.
