Beau Brummell is a biographical drama film released in 1954, directed by Curtis Bernhardt and starring Stewart Granger as the titular George Brummell. The movie is based on the life of the real George Brummell, who lived during the Regency period in Britain (1811-1820) and earned a reputation as a wit, a socialite, and a fashion icon.
The movie begins with Brummell's childhood in the late 18th century, as the son of a middle-class family in Portsmouth.
