Beasts Clawing at Straws is a South Korean neo-noir thriller film directed by Kim Yong-hoon and starring Jeon Do-yeon, Jung Woo-sung, and Bae Sung-woo. The film is based on the 2013 Japanese novel "Beasts That Cling to the Straw" by Keisuke Sone.

The movie follows the lives of several struggling individuals whose paths cross due to a bag full of cash. Jung-man, who works at a sauna and takes care of his sick mother, finds the bag of money in the locker room. Meanwhile, Tae-young is in trouble with a loan shark after his girlfriend disappears with their borrowed money.

As they try to navigate their circumstances, a dead body is found, and the mystery deepens. Alongside Jung-man and Tae-young, we also meet Mi-ran, who is trapped in an abusive relationship with her husband. She begins a dangerous affair with a young man named Jin-tae, who offers to help her escape from her husband.
