B-Boy Blues

Drama  United States of America

B-Boy Blues is a romantic drama film that explores the relationship between Mitchell Crawford and Raheim Rivers, two young men from different backgrounds who fell in love during the early 90s in New York City. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by James Earl Hardy and is directed by Sheldon Larry.

Mitchell is a successful African-American journalist who is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. He meets Raheim, a charming and carefree bicycle messenger, at a gay bar in Greenwich Village. Despite their differences, the two men are drawn to each other and begin a passionate romance.

However, their relationship is not without its challenges. Mitchell is still in the closet and struggles with the stigma and discrimination faced by gay men of color. Raheim, on the other hand, is open about his sexuality and has faced his own share of hardships as a young black man in America.

As their relationship deepens, Mitchell and Raheim must navigate the complexities of their individual identities and the obstacles that threaten to tear them apart. B-Boy Blues is a poignant and powerful portrayal of love, identity, and the struggle for acceptance in a society that is often hostile to difference.
