In the movie Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne is deeply affected by the murder of his parents when he was a child, and becomes obsessed with finding a way to rid his city of crime. He travels the world, seeking knowledge and training in martial arts and detective work.
When he returns to Gotham, he discovers that the city is controlled by a powerful and corrupt organization known as the League of Shadows, led by Ra's al Ghul. Bruce decides to use his wealth and training to fight back against the League and its influence on Gotham.
