The movie is a satirical take on the COVID-19 pandemic, following the adventures of Barbie and Kendra as they try to stay entertained while practicing social distancing. They become obsessed with a nature channel show that features a man and his tigers, and come up with a plan to free the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic. The duo embark on a journey from Los Angeles to Africa as they attempt to save Joe from his captivity, all while navigating the challenges of the pandemic.
Barbie and Kendra Save the Tiger King! is the latest in Full Moon Features' line of "Coronasploitation" films, which also includes Corona Zombies. The movie is set to be released exclusively on the Full Moon Features channel and app on May 15th, 2020. The film stars Cody Renee Cameron as Barbie and Robin Sydney as Kendra, and is directed by Charles Band.
