Barabbas is a 1961 epic film based on the 1950 novel of the same name by Swedish Nobel laureate Pär Lagerkvist. The film follows the story of Barabbas, a criminal who is released by Pontius Pilate instead of Jesus Christ, and his journey through life as he tries to find meaning and purpose.
