Bambi II is an animated film produced by DisneyToon Studios and directed by Brian Pimental. The movie serves as a midquel to the classic 1942 film Bambi, and follows the events that take place between the death of Bambi's mother and the arrival of spring.
After the tragic loss of his mother, Bambi is left alone in the forest. His father, The Great Prince, who is the leader of the forest, is initially dismissive of Bambi, believing that he is too young and inexperienced to survive on his own. However, as time goes on, The Great Prince begins to realize that there is much he can learn from his son.
Throughout the movie, Bambi and The Great Prince bond over their shared experiences, and the young fawn learns valuable lessons about life and survival in the forest. Along the way, Bambi makes friends with a young rabbit named Thumper, and together they get into mischief and learn about the dangers of the forest.
Bambi II was released direct-to-video in 2006, and features the voices of Patrick Stewart as The Great Prince, and Alexander Gould as Bambi. The movie received mixed reviews from critics, but was praised for its beautiful animation and heartwarming story.
