Balto is a 1995 animated adventure movie produced by Steven Spielberg's animation studio, Amblimation. The movie tells the story of Balto, a mixed-breed outcast, who lives with his sled-dog friends in the outskirts of Nome, Alaska.

When a diphtheria epidemic hits Nome, the town's supply of antitoxin runs out, and the residents are desperate for a solution to save their children. The only hope is to get the medicine delivered from Nenana, which is 650 miles away, but all communication and transportation means are down due to a blizzard.

The town's only hope for survival is to form a dog sled relay, and Balto, despite being half-wolf and an outcast, steps up to lead the pack. He sets out on a journey through treacherous weather and dangerous terrain to Nenana with the antitoxin in tow.

Along the way, Balto faces several hurdles and obstacles, including hostile wildlife, lack of food and shelter, and treacherous icy waters, to name a few. But with his friends by his side, he overcomes every challenge that comes his way and finally delivers the medicine in time, ultimately saving countless lives.

Balto's heroism earns him the respect and admiration of the entire town, and he becomes a beloved hero amongst the people of Nome.
