In Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach, Seann William Scott plays the role of Gary Houseman, a high school janitor with aspirations of coaching the school's tennis team. Gary is not a conventional coach, but he is passionate and enthusiastic about tennis. He believes that with hard work and dedication, he can lead his team to greatness.
The problem is that the team he is coaching is made up of misfits who have never played tennis before. Gary has to find a way to turn them into a winning team, even if it means unconventional methods. On the way to the state championship, Gary and his team face several obstacles, including a rival team coached by Gary's ex-girlfriend.
