The film tells the story of Iskander, a young Kazakh man who lives near the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the world's first and largest operational space launch facility. Iskander's grandfather was a famous astronaut who went on a mission to outer space and never returned. Since then, Iskander has been fascinated by space and dreams of becoming an astronaut himself.

One day, Iskander meets a French journalist, Julie, who has come to Kazakhstan to cover the launch of a spacecraft. The two become friends and Iskander helps Julie to sneak into the cosmodrome to get a closer look at the rocket. However, things go wrong when Julie accidentally becomes sealed inside the capsule. Iskander is forced to join the crew and blast off into space in an attempt to rescue her.

The movie is a mix of romance, comedy, and adventure, and explores themes such as the human desire for exploration and discovery, the relationship between Kazakhstan and Russia, and the clash between traditional Kazakh culture and modern technology. It was filmed on location in Kazakhstan and features stunning visuals of the desolate yet beautiful landscape surrounding Baikonur.
