Badge 373 is a 1973 crime drama film directed by Howard W. Koch and starring Robert Duvall, Verna Bloom, and Henry Darrow. Duvall plays Eddie Ryan, a tough and determined Irish-American detective in the New York City Police Department. He is devastated when his partner is killed in the line of duty and sets out on a personal mission to bring the killers to justice.
Ryan is relentless in his pursuit of the murderers and is willing to go to any lengths to find them. He becomes increasingly obsessed with the case and his behavior becomes more and more erratic. He resorts to violence and brutality in his efforts to get information from suspects and witnesses, putting himself and others in danger.
As his behavior spirals out of control, Ryan is forced to turn in his badge. However, this does not deter him from continuing his investigation. He discovers that his partner was involved in a complex web of corruption and gun-running involving Puerto Rican militants and organized crime.

As Ryan closes in on Sweet Willie, he realizes that he is in grave danger. But he is determined to avenge his partner's death and bring down the criminals responsible for the gun-running conspiracy. The film culminates in an explosive and action-packed finale, with Ryan confronting Sweet Willie and his henchmen in a deadly showdown.
