Back on Track follows the story of Eric, a former Olympic champion in long-distance running, who struggles with addiction and depression after his retirement from the sport. Despite his struggles, he decides to make a comeback and compete in the Berlin Marathon one last time.
With the help of his coach and a support group, Eric begins to train and faces various challenges along the way, such as an injury and the temptation to relapse into addiction. He also reconnects with his estranged daughter, who he hopes to reconcile with.
As race day approaches, Eric must confront his past and doubts about his ability to perform, but ultimately finds redemption and renewed purpose through the marathon. The film explores themes of perseverance, forgiveness, and the power of athletics to heal both physically and emotionally.
