As John Sheridan travels across various timelines and alternate realities, he encounters unexpected versions of himself, including a revolutionary leader who never became the President of the Interstellar Alliance, a warlike general who never resigned his post, and a militant warrior who never found peace. These versions of John Sheridan provide him with unique insights into his own life and the choices he has made.
Throughout his journey, John encounters a variety of new and familiar characters, including his wife Delenn, his friend and ally G'Kar, a young Londo Mollari, and even his deceased mentor, Commander Sinclair. As he travels, he learns about the true nature of the Universe and discovers that the key to his return home lies in the hands of the enigmatic First Ones.
