Part 1:
The possessed worker, named Edgars, begins to act strange and exhibit unusual abilities. Security personnel bring him to Captain Lochley's attention and she orders that he be examined by a priest. The priest discovers that an entity has possessed Edgars and is seeking to be exorcised. However, Col. Lochley believes that the entity may be of extraterrestrial origin and decides to send both Edgars and the entity back to Earth for further study.
Part 2:
Galen, a techno-mage, arrives on Babylon 5 and meets with President Sheridan. He tells Sheridan that he has the ability to see into the future and has witnessed the rise of a Centauri leader who will declare war on Earth in 30 years time. Galen tells Sheridan that the only way to stop this war is to assassinate the future Centauri leader before he rises to power. Sheridan is hesitant to carry out such a plan, but Galen convinces him to reconsider by invoking the mantra of "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". In the end, Sheridan decides not to carry out the assassination and Galen departs Babylon 5, leaving the future uncertain.
