Science Fiction,Action,Adventure  United States of America

Babylon 5: The Gathering was a television movie that aired in 1993, serving as the pilot episode and introduction to the Babylon 5 series. Set in the year 2257, it takes place on the titular space station, which is located in neutral territory and designed to be a hub for interstellar diplomacy, trade, and cooperation. It is a time of great tension and conflict between various alien races, including the warrior Narn, the fanatical Minbari, the enigmatic Vorlons, and the ruthless Centauri.

The story begins with the arrival of new station commander Jeffrey Sinclair (played by Michael O'Hare), who must quickly adapt to his new role while dealing with a mysterious assassination attempt on the Vorlon ambassador Kosh (played by Ardwight Chamberlain). Sinclair is aided in his investigation by his second-in-command, Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova (played by Claudia Christian), and the station's chief of security, Michael Garibaldi (played by Jerry Doyle).

As Sinclair delves deeper into the conspiracy, he discovers that there are many factions within Babylon 5 with their own agendas, including a rogue telepath named Talia Winters (played by Andrea Thompson) and a group of human separatists led by EarthGov official William Hague (played by Michael York). Along the way, he also forms alliances with various alien ambassadors, including the Centauri diplomat Londo Mollari (played by Peter Jurasik) and the Minbari religious leader Delenn (played by Mira Furlan).

Ultimately, Sinclair is able to solve the mystery and prevent further violence, but not without laying the groundwork for larger conflicts to come. As the movie ends, the various characters depart to their respective corners of the galaxy, but it is clear that Babylon 5 will continue to be a focal point for the struggles that lie ahead.
