In Babe: Pig in the City, Babe and Farmer Hoggett's wife, Esme, travel to the city to participate in a fair and earn some money to save their farm from foreclosure. However, things quickly go wrong when Babe accidentally causes chaos in the hotel they're staying in, leading to them being kicked out.
Desperate to find a way to save the farm, Babe and some other animals he befriends at a shelter embark on a series of adventures in the city, including helping a group of performing chimpanzees and evading animal control.
Meanwhile, Farmer Hogget, who is recuperating from his injury, begins to worry about Babe's safety and sets out to find him in the city. As he and Esme search for Babe, they encounter a series of challenges that test their resolve and highlight the bond they share with Babe.
In the end, Babe and his animal friends help save the day at the fair and the farm is saved from foreclosure. However, Farmer Hogget is left with a newfound appreciation for the complexity and wonder of the animal world, leading him to make changes on the farm that benefit both the animals and their human caretakers.
