Babe is a 1995 comedy-drama film directed by Chris Noonan. The movie characterizes the story of a piglet named Babe who is taken to Hogget's farm and left under the care of Fly, the sheepdog. Babe is confused about his identity and struggles to assimilate with the other farm animals at first but eventually befriends them.

As Babe grows up, he realizes his potential to become a sheep pig and with the help of Fly and other farm animals, he starts training for the sheepdog trials. The trials are held annually, and the animals who perform well are awarded prizes and recognized for their skills. Farmer Hogget initially does not take Babe seriously, considering him merely a pig who cannot fit in with the farm animals.

However, Babe surprises everyone when he performs incredibly well at the trials, ultimately becoming the champion of the competition. His victory changes the way animals are observed, and Farmer Hogget begins to view them as intelligent beings who deserve respect and understanding.

The film explores the importance of friendship, acceptance, and the ability to overcome limitations. With excellent performances by the cast, including James Cromwell as Farmer Hogget and Magda Szubanski as Mrs Hogget, Babe has become an enduring classic and a favorite of children and adults alike.
