Baazaar is a 2018 Hindi-language thriller drama film directed by Gaurav K. Chawla and starring Saif Ali Khan, Rohan Mehra, Radhika Apte and Chitrangada Singh. The film tells the story of Rizwan Ahmed (Rohan Mehra), a young boy from Allahabad, who dreams of becoming a successful trader. He moves to Mumbai to pursue his ambition and manages to secure a job in a stock trading firm run by Shakun Kothari (Saif Ali Khan), a shrewd and cunning businessman with a notorious reputation.
As Rizwan begins to work for Kothari, he is exposed to the cutthroat world of stock trading and discovers that success comes at a cost. He quickly learns that in order to succeed, he must be willing to bend the rules and play the game Kothari’s way. As he climbs the ranks at the firm, Rizwan is torn between his loyalty to Kothari and his own sense of morality.
Meanwhile, Kothari himself is dealing with his own personal and business issues. He's being investigated by the SEBI and is in danger of losing his company, which he's spent years building. As he navigates his way through the investigation and tries to maintain his power, Kothari sees potential in Rizwan and takes him under his wing.
However, tensions between the two begin to rise as Rizwan becomes more embroiled in Kothari’s shady deals and he realizes that there are consequences to his actions. His girlfriend Priya (Radhika Apte) becomes increasingly concerned about his growing ambition and the unethical practices he’s involved in.
Baazaar delves into the complex world of stock trading, greed, ambition, and the moral dilemmas faced by those trying to make it big in the industry. The film received mixed reviews but was praised for Saif Ali Khan's performance as the menacing but charming Shakun Kothari.
