In Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive, Ansari focuses on the topic of marriage and relationships as he approaches his 30th birthday. He discusses the pressure society imposes on millennials to settle down and start families, as well as the struggle to find a compatible partner in today's dating world. Ansari also touches on the topic of parenthood and the anxieties that come with it, including the fear of not being able to provide for a child. Throughout the special, Ansari uses his signature style of storytelling and observational humor to shed light on the absurdities of modern life and the challenges of growing up. The special was filmed during Ansari's 2013 tour and premiered on Netflix in November of that year.
