Amina eventually meets a young boy named Yaro, who becomes her friend and confidant. He introduces her to the harsh realities of life in the slums of Accra and helps her navigate the challenges she faces. Amina finds work as a housemaid, but is constantly harassed and exploited by her employers.

As she struggles to survive and find a way back home, Amina discovers the horrific realities of human trafficking and the brutal exploitation of vulnerable young girls. She also learns about the power of friendship, resilience, and hope in the face of adversity.
