Awful Nice

Awful Nice is a 2013 comedy film directed by Todd Sklar. The film follows estranged brothers Jim (James Pumphrey) and Dave (Alex Rennie), who are forced to travel to Branson, Missouri, when their father dies and leave them his lake house. Upon arrival, they discover that the house has fallen into disrepair, and they need to renovate it before putting it on the market.

Jim and Dave have always been at odds with each other, and their uneasy relationship continues as they begin the renovation process. They struggle to work together as they argue about everything from paint colors to who gets the master bedroom. Their attempts to fix up the house are plagued by a series of funny and costly mishaps, including accidentally starting a fire and breaking a water pipe.

As they work together, the brothers begin to confront their past issues and resentments. They both realize that they need to put aside their differences and work together if they want to succeed. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including a local contractor and a group of party-loving teenagers.
