In the movie, Aurora and Nick are finally getting the chance to enjoy some quality time together before their actual honeymoon. However, their plans take a turn when they stumble upon a dead body while hiking in the woods. The victim is later identified as a local who had several enemies in the small town.
As Aurora and Nick start to investigate the case, they learn that several people had a motive to commit the crime. With the help of their friends in law enforcement, Aurora and Nick try to follow the clues and track down the killer.
But as they get closer to unraveling the mystery, danger starts to creep up on them. Someone is watching their every move and seems to be determined to stop them from getting too close to the truth. The couple must work together and use all their skills and resources to stay safe and finally uncover the real culprit behind the murder.
The movie is part of the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries series, based on the books by Charlaine Harris, and stars Candace Cameron Bure and Niall Matter as the lead characters.
