The Greek Fisherman in the movie is named Demetrios and he is played by actor Anthony Hall. He saves the Atlantean Princess named Antillia, played by Joyce Taylor, from drowning and brings her back to Atlantis. Antillia is the daughter of the King of Atlantis and the rightful heir to the throne.
However, the evil sorcerer named Zaren, played by John Dall, has other plans for the throne. He manipulates the King, played by Edward Platt, into believing that he is the only one who can save Atlantis from destruction. Zaren plans to use the Crystal of the Sun, which powers the entire city, to create a devastating weapon that can destroy any targets in its path.
The slaves of Atlantis are forced to mine the crystals, which are highly dangerous and can cause sickness and death. Demetrios is enslaved for his role in helping Antillia escape and is forced to work in the mines alongside other prisoners. They are constantly beaten and mistreated by their captors.
Demetrios and Antillia eventually team up with a group of rebels who are fighting against Zaren and the King's tyranny. They devise a plan to destroy the Crystal of the Sun and free the slaves of Atlantis. However, their plan is complicated by the King's loyalty to Zaren and his own fear of losing his power.
