Assault on Precinct 13 is a 2005 action thriller movie directed by Jean-Francois Richet and starring Ethan Hawke, Laurence Fishburne, and Gabriel Byrne. The film is a remake of the 1976 movie of the same name by John Carpenter.

The story takes place on New Year's Eve in Detroit, where the Precinct 13 police station is about to be closed down. Only a handful of cops and staff remain, including Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke), a burned-out officer battling addiction, and Sergeant Jasper O'Shea (Brian Dennehy), who is about to retire.

Things go awry for the group when a bus carrying a group of prisoners, including notorious mob boss Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne), is diverted to Precinct 13 due to a snowstorm. Shortly afterward, the station is attacked by a group of corrupt cops, hoping to take down Bishop and cover up their illegal activities.

Roenick and his team must band together with Bishop and other criminals to fend off the deadly assault, as they fight to survive the night and protect their station.

As the situation escalates, secrets are revealed, and loyalties are tested. The movie is full of intense action sequences, car chases, and explosive gunfights, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the climactic finale.
