Assassination Games is an action-packed thriller film directed by Ernie Barbarash, released in 2011. Jean-Claude Van Damme stars as Vincent Brazil, a highly skilled and ruthless contract killer based in Brazil, while Scott Adkins plays Roland Flint, a retired assassin seeking revenge for the brutal attack on his wife.
The plot begins with Vincent Brazil taking on a new job to eliminate a powerful drug lord named Polo Yakur (Ivan Kaye), who happens to be the same person Roland Flint wants dead. Polo is not an easy target, and Vincent soon realizes that he needs backup to successfully complete the job. Meanwhile, Roland tracks down Brazil in an effort to kill Polo himself, but the two eventually team up to take down their common enemy.
As they navigate the dangerous underworld of Brazil, Vincent and Roland encounter corrupt Interpol agents and a host of other criminals who want them dead. With police and drug dealers hunting them, the duo must stay one step ahead and use all their skills to take down their target.
The film features intense action sequences, including gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, and car chases. The performances of Van Damme and Adkins are particularly impressive, portraying two skilled assassins with distinct personalities and motivations. While the movie is not without its flaws, it's an exciting ride for fans of action-thrillers and delivers enough thrills to make it worth watching.
