Asbury Park is a drama film that follows the story of four African American teenagers - Darius, Tyrell, Tariq, and Jaden - living in the inner city of Asbury Park, New Jersey. They all share the same dream of making it out of the hood and building a better life for themselves.

The local police force is corrupt and biased, and they target the black community, making it hard for young black men like them to survive.
