As Gouda as it Gets follows the story of Brie, a passionate artisan cheese shop owner who has dedicated her life to creating the perfect cheese. When she hears about the annual Cheese Festival in her town and the $50,000 prize, she sees it as the perfect opportunity to showcase her talent and bring more attention to her shop.
However, Brie soon realizes that she is not the only one with this idea. Her biggest competitor, Cheddar, is also in the race for the prize and has a few tricks up his sleeve. Feeling the pressure, Brie teams up with a renowned cheese critic, Max, to profile her vintage smoked gouda in a bid to stand out.
As they work together, Brie and Max develop a close friendship, which soon blossoms into a romance. But just as things start to look up for Brie, an unexpected twist threatens to derail her plans. A rival cheese shop owner, Blue, offers her a business proposal that could help her win the prize, but at a cost. Brie is torn between taking the opportunity or staying true to her values and her passion for creating artisanal cheese.
As the Cheese Festival draws closer, Brie faces unforeseen complications and difficult decisions that force her to put her shop – and her heart – on the line.
