In Arthur 2: On the Rocks, Arthur is struggling to stay sober and hold down a job after losing his fortune and his wife, Linda (played by Liza Minnelli). Despite his best efforts, he keeps falling off the wagon and getting into trouble.
Meanwhile, Linda is living in a homeless shelter and trying to get her life back together. She still cares for Arthur but is wary of getting involved with him again. When a villainous businessman named Burt Johnson (played by Stephen Elliott) conspires to force Arthur into marrying his daughter, Susan (played by Cynthia Sikes), Linda and Arthur must team up to foil his plans.
Along the way, Arthur and Linda encounter a colorful cast of characters, including a group of homeless people who live in Central Park and a wise old priest (played by Paul Benedict). The film is full of the same humor and heart as the original, with Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli reprising their roles as the lovable Arthur and Linda.
