The protagonist, Jerome, is a talented artist who has been drawing since childhood. He dreams of attending art school, where he can hone his skills and become a successful artist. However, when Jerome arrives at Strathmore Art School, he quickly realizes that his idealized vision of the art world doesn't match up with reality.
At Strathmore, Jerome meets a colorful cast of characters, including his eccentric roommate, the pretentious art professor, and a seductive fellow student. As he navigates the competitive and often cutthroat world of art school, Jerome begins to realize that success in the art world is not just about talent, but also about marketing and connections.
Despite this realization, Jerome remains true to his artistic vision and creates a series of provocative paintings that gain him recognition and praise. However, when an art dealer offers to represent him, Jerome realizes that he must compromise his artistic integrity in order to achieve commercial success.
