Arabian Adventure is a British fantasy adventure film that was released in 1979. Set in 8th century Baghdad, the film follows Prince Hasan, a skilled warrior who is in love with Princess Zuleira, the daughter of the evil Caliph. The Caliph offers his daughter's hand in marriage to any prince who can complete a dangerous quest for a magical rose that has the power to grant eternal life.
Prince Hasan, with the help of a young orphan boy named Majeed and a flying carpet, embarks on the quest to win the hand of the princess. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including vicious monsters, deadly swamps, and magical genies. The trio must use all of their skills and resources to survive these challenges and continue on their mission.
At one point in the film, Prince Hasan is confronted by a powerful sorcerer named Alquazar (played by Peter Cushing), who has his own designs on the magical rose. The two engage in a magical battle, which culminates in Hasan using his own strength and cunning to outsmart the sorcerer and claim the rose for himself.
As they approach the Caliph's palace with the magical rose, Prince Hasan and his companions must again face a final test of their mettle. They are forced to navigate a deadly maze filled with traps before they can present the rose to the Caliph and claim the hand of Princess Zuleira.
Arabian Adventure features stunning visuals, exotic locales, and a charming, swashbuckling hero in Prince Hasan. The film is highlighted by the impressive performances of the legendary Christopher Lee as the menacing Caliph and Peter Cushing as the malevolent sorcerer.
