Artie is a typical high school student, but his life takes a turn for the worse when his best friend and unrequited crush, April, moves out of state for college. Artie is left feeling lost and alone until three years later when he finally musters the courage to go and visit her. However, on his journey, Artie is involved in a car crash and wakes up to find himself in a world overrun by zombies.
Despite being ill-equipped to survive in this new world, Artie is determined to find April and confess his love for her. With his unwavering love for her as his driving force, Artie embarks on a perilous journey through a world filled with dangers at every turn.
As Artie makes his way towards April, he meets a group of survivors, including his former bully, who team up with him on his quest. Together they face hordes of flesh-eating zombies, rival survivor groups, and their own personal demons.
As time ticks down, Artie's bite worsens, and he knows he is running out of time to find April before he becomes a monster too. Will Artie be reunited with April? Or will he join the ranks of the undead? The fate of humanity rests in the balance as Artie fights for love and survival in April Apocalypse.
